Texas — Today, the Executive Board of the Texas College Democrats (TCD) announced that the Federation, for the first time, endorsed two candidates in city council runoffs.
In San Antonio, the Federation endorsed Teri Castillo for the District 5 seat. Teri's campaign, and the policies she has put forth during, are progressive and line with TCD's. Her voice is what San Antonio needs at this critical moment. Her outreach to high school and college students in particular is worthy of praise, and a model for any candidate seeking to change their communities for the better.

In Grand Prairie, the Federation endorsed Junior Ezeonu for the Place 8 At-Large seat. He is running an unapologetically progressive, energetic campaign, with the policies to back it up. Turning Texas blue means electing young Democrats at all levels of government and that's why we're proud to endorse Junior.

"Teri and Junior are the best our state has to offer," said J.J. Martinez, TCD's President. "We are proud that our first-ever municipal endorsements are for them. College students in their communities can rest easy knowing that, if elected, Teri and Junior will fights for them and the issues that matter most."
The Executive Board unanimously voted to endorse Teri and Junior.
