Following the election of new officers of the Texas Young Democrats at their 2021 State Convention, President J.J. Martinez released the following statement:
"On behalf of the entire Federation, I congratulate all of the new members of the Executive Committee of the Texas Young Democrats. I look forward to working with each of them, side-by-side, as our two organizations fight for the Texas we know we can be.
"I want to especially congratulate President Hannah Horick, someone who I consider a friend and close ally, on her election. I know she and I both share a common goal of seeing our two organizations work together like never before to fight for our fellow Texans like never before. I am committing myself, and our entire Federation, to being a steadfast partner in the term ahead. Our Executive Board will do everything it can to advance the interests of student and young Texans in every corner of this Great State with our young Democrat friends."
